More Fun Projects

An update to Matt's post below about our kitchen cabinets...
Well it looks like the decision has been made....
this is the color and the style that we are going with when we order the new kitchen cabinet doors....This is going to make a huge change in the kitchen and we can't wait to get it finished....but we will have to until after the New York trip which isn't far away!

We decided to make some changes to our kitchen, now knowing us we decided to do this on our own. We have been working on the kitchen cabinets for about a week now and we are ready to share the work with you all. We will be putting new trim on the front of all the cabinets so they will match when we stain them all. We are planning on using a natural finish as we really like the color of the new wood. After we are finished with that we are planning on getting modern doors built and adding some new hardware and hinges. It's been a lot of fun working together to get another great job done.

This add on we decided to put on to finish off the wall, and give a spot for the phone. If we go with a surface mount door rather than the inset one's we have know we will add more trim to the bottom.

This one had to be re-built, we dummied up some old parts when we moved in so we could mount the microwave, it was a little tight to the stove so this allowed us to move it up a few more inches, the corner was a bit of a challenge but turned out ok

This is above the fridge and freezer, this wall was all cabinets when we moved in but we had to take them out to fit the fridge/freezer in place. The space has looked really empty until now, this will be a great spot to use for storage.

This was the main cabinet and we spend a lot of time on it, of course the walls aren't straight and the pipes were in the way but we wanted to make use of this wall and also to have a spot to store the garbage can. This will have 6 doors when finished 3 larger ones on the bottom and 3 smaller ones covering the top 2 sections.

Reily has been fed breakfast, and is barking and howling. This afternoon: there is planned a walk and romp on the Smith's Lawns for him and et al. Dr. Foster's appointment for check up on Wednesday for the Belle plus eight.

See you on the 17, 18
