Here we are it's Christmas morning and the kiddies are very excited and ready to have a fun day. It's probably one of the only days of the year when we have absolutely no where we have to be and we can focus on just hanging out together as a group.
This was the first Christmas for Riley so Breigh had to let him in on the secret, they quickly found their goodie bag and selected a chewie treat to occupy them while we were opening gifts.
Look at this one, Jay and Blake sitting beside each other and not fighting, just another unexplainable Christmas Miracle
Here was the treat Breigh and Riley picked out to snack on first, boy they were stinky but it did the job, they chewed on them on their new bed for about 3 hours.

The kids did their goodie stocking from Santa first, it was full of all kinds of goodies, probably the favorite was the Christmas Pez dispensers

Still Chewing, what a comfy new bed, they love it. They also got a new Horse Blanket to replace their chewed up blanket, finally it's going to the garbage.

The kids(Jay/Trin) were stressing the last few days about getting presents for Carrie and I, I helped them out with Carrie and told them all I wanted was a sqeegie for the van and a hat with ear flaps for shoveling, which we had seen at the dollar store. Here's the hat, best $1.50 ever spent it is super warm. Trin thought I was a goof getting excited over a hat, it's the thought that counts and it was exactly what I had wanted.

Breigh found a comfy spot on the big santa sack

Carrie and the kids surprised me with a new George Forman Grill, I had one years ago and loved it but dropped it and smashed it on the floor, I guess it took Carrie this long to forgive and get me a new one. It will be well used when I'm getting suppers for the kids.

One of Grandma/Grandpa's gifts was connect four, Carrie/Trinity and Blake had a great time later in the day playing up in Blakes room.

The kids also all got new dance/b.ball bags from Grandma/Grandpa, they all look the same as Kohl's except different logo's. Trin has a girl dancer and Jays has his basket ball's team logo on his.

Kohl has been wanting a easy bake for the last couple of years, he found one at the yardsale for Dance Power this spring and we made the best out of it with no pan so for Christmas he got a new oven and some mixes, he loves to bake.

The kids and I managed to surpise Carrie with new artwork for the walls, she mentioned months ago that she would like to have one of these for all the kids rooms. She misses being around the kids at night and usually has a few quality moments when she gets home from work, ensure everyone gets tucked in and kiss goodnight. "Always kiss me goodnight"

Here was the moment, one you wait for every Christmas the one that you know you did a good thing. Trinity has really wanted a Bench Sweater all year, most of the kids at Dance and school have them and they are really nice but Carrie told her not to even mention it when they were in New York because they are too expensive and you know what she didn't mention wanting one again. Carrie surprised her with this one and recieved the biggest reaction and hug of the day!

Kohl also got a real surprise when he opened his very own laptop, he was very well behaved last year when Jay and Trin got theres and never really complained all year, he inherited our old desktop but it is really not very reliable. He's pretty excited to now have his very own laptop that works great..... and yes I'm still wearing the hat.

Blake opened his gift from \Nana&Papa and was very excited to get a new table and chairs for his room to replace his old cars table that was broken. This one is even better as it comes with a wipe off surface that you can use markers on to draw pictures.

All Blake wanted from Santa was the Devastor Race Car Set so he was very excited to see the Jolly old Elf come through for him.

Kohl's big request from Santa was for some Tec Decks, he got a whole box of different ramp, jumps and other things to hook together to create his very own skateboard park.

Trinity's big wish was for a new flat tv to replace her "BABY" Disney princess tv, she got lucky and Santa brought her a new flat screen with Ipod Docking station and built in DVD

Jay was VERY stressed out towards the end of gifts as he had requested a couple of PS3 games and hadn't gotten them yet, when I brought out the last gift for him ( a big box) he was almost in tears he knew for sure he didn't get his games. The egg was on his face when he opened the box to find not only the games he wanted but a couple of others he had mentioned as back ups if the ones he wanted couldn't be found along with a new controller, charger, bluetooth headset and more PS3 accessories. He was very happy after opening this one.

Oh yes Trinity also received an IPOD from Carrie, this thing is now attached to her as she won't go anywhere without it.

Blake got a new easel to use to practice his spelling and artwork on.

Here's Kohl building his skate board park

Blake giving the new table a try

Kohl and Jay also got new Light sabre kits to build your very own light sabre. There old ones were so worn out we had to throw them out at the end of the summer.

I thought I was getting snipered but it was just Jay showing off his new nerf gun he almost never got. It was on his list but we didn't think it was a priority item until Christmas eve when he mentioned how great it was going to be because 2 of his friends were also getting this particular Nerf gun and they were going to get together for a battle. I managed to find one at work, the benefit to working for retail at Christmas

Great artwork Blake

The dogs even got to enjoy Turkey dinner with us.

It's rough being a puppy at Christmas!

Trin, Blake and Carrie had a blast playing Connect 4

It's really tough being puppies at Christmas, I wish I could have got in on the rest time

Trinity got a bead kit that you make designs and then melt them with an iron, they all had fun with these.

Jay, Zombiefied infront of the TV with his new PS3 games

Oh yes Carrie and the kids surprised me with a laptop of my very own.

Trin with the IPOD yet again.

And yet again later in the day

After the annual trip to the movie it was time to call it a night, and as usual I read the bed time stories

Here is a preview of Trin's new room, Carrie had painted the border on the top from the pattern on the quilt, today we put on the new quilt set and the boa around the headboard and tonight was the new drapes, also in the middle of the headboard we added Trin's ballet shoe ornament that Birdie sent for Christmas.

Jay also got new bedding and here is his new look

Christmas day was a trip to the theatre for Alvin and the chipmunks the squeakquel, it was a lot of fun for sure, possibly better than the first one.

Today we went to Avatar, we were a little worried about this one as it was almost 3 hours long. We heard multiple reports that this was the most amazing movie ever created with the 3D action and story and I would have to admit it was very good and the 3D was incredible. Everyone should check out this movie but definetly only in the 3D format.

We are now getting ready to get back to work, Carrie had to go tonight :0( and I have to return tommorrow at 4:30AMm yuck. We are looking forward to visiting family over New Years.
Whew, I tired looking at all your gifts. Looks as if nothing was forgotten.
ReplyDeleteSee you soon. Dad and I want to see Avatar too! We almost got there Christmas night, but time slipped away, only one showing for the longer time, and we forgot to keep our eyes on the clock.
We would have to travel to Moncton for the special viewing. Mom
