Let Them Be Little

BACK TO THE HOME RENOVATIONS....

It has been awhile since we bought our new dishwasher but we finally took the time to tear apart the kitchen and got started on the dishwasher....

But before the dishwasher could be hooked up the old dishwasher needed to be unhooked and removed. (we sold the old one last night)

This is where the old dishwasher was....Riley just checking out the situation, actually I think he was eating the crumbs?!

Matt thought it would be easier to work on the dishwasher with the kids in school but I think he forgot about the dogs always being under foot.

The worst part of renovating is the mess and now we are forced to get the new bottom cabinets finished.

Now I bet you are wondering what this is a picture of below... well as usual with one of our projects around the house something always goes wrong lol
well Matt had to drill a new hole for the electrical for the dishwasher which should have been inside the cabinet. So I was upstairs watching for the drill bit to poke through.
It poked through alright but not in the right spot. The bit poked through about 1 cm from my knee cap. Lucky for me I could see the flooring start to lift and moved back.

This is one way to get the kitchen flooring replaced faster LOL

Matt is always looking for new things to replace so we will just add flooring to the list !

Riley was a bit concerned for Matt when he was in the crawl space trying to pull out the electrical wiring....

And finally this morning the leaking pipes and stopped (for now) and the new dishwasher washed it's first load of dishes this morning!

We are just waiting now to see how well it cleans the dishes?!

EVERYONE IN THIS HOUSE HAS BEEN HIT BY MATT'S COLD....

Trinity came home from school yesterday around 10am with a headache and a low fever.

We got the meds in her and she curled up in bed.

Just minutes after this picture she fell asleep.

Later she was feeling better so she had something to eat and was off to dance class for 6pm.

Thankfully she is still feeling better and was up and off to school this morning!

BUT TODAY.....

JAY AND KOHL ARE HOME

Jay is up in his room watching tv. He has an annoying runny nose and a cough that tears his chest when he coughs....

Now mister Kohl. I am not all that sure exactly what is wrong with him. I was sleeping when that decision was made with his dad. I know he hasn't been feeling 100% so he went back to bed with a movie. He has been up for breakfast and it starting to bounce around the house so I think we are going to ship him off to school shortly?!

Blake has a bad cough and expect him to be home maybe tomorrow

I was also hit with Matt's cold so I am trying to keep medicated so that I can still function. I was off last night so I got to bed a bit early, I work tonight then off until Sunday at 6pm. so hopefully I will be past the worst part of the cold by then. I wish I could say it will be a relaxing weekend of rest but Jay has another basketball tournament in Sydney...a bit closer this time. We are thinking that the kids will stay home with Matt this time and I will do the driving to the games with Jay. It was a long weekend last week for the kids and I'm sure they will appreciate some quiet time home!
