The new laundry room is a reality

It took many months of discussions but today the laundry room finally got moved into it's new location.
Here is the old laundry room, small, cramped and an aweful angled ceiling that left us with cramps after folding a load of laundry.

Here is the new location for the laundry room, the walls might not be finished but now that everything is moved it will not take long to get the walls finished up.


Here is the other end of the laundry room which houses our closet and a bunch of things that need some re-organizing.

The plumbing is done for the washer so now it's on to moving the dryer in place after moving the electrical down it was time to cut a hole for the vent....hum cutting a hole in the side of the house... that sounds like a good idea.

Oh I guess that wasn't so bad after all and the vent fit in the first time.

Here is the end of the day, all is well and we have run through about 4 loads through at this point. It's really nice to have hot water for the washer again, it's been a long 2 1/2 years with only frigid water. The next little while will be spend shopping for new washer/dryer that we will be getting when the tax refund comes.

After a long day of renovations it was time to relax with a little classic Super Mario on the Wii

This plaque has been waiting for a home since we moved into the house, now it is on the laundry room door.
