It was beach day at school for the kids at Winter Carnival, we figured that if they were sunning it up we should take the opportunity to hit the slopes before the Summer really hits and the snow is all gone.
It's not very often that we get out without the kids and we wanted proof so we had one of the instructors take our picture.
The slopes were very quite when we arrived and we took full advantage of the freshly groomed trails.
I made a lot of progress on our first outing but spending a lot of time working with the kids I never made it up the bigger hills. As you can tell I was a bit hesitant at first but with some good coaching after a couple of runs I was feeling pretty good on the hills.
Carrie and I were getting ready to head down the Chickadee.
Looks like fun! Season passes are the way to go. Too expensive here... closest hill is Nakiska and it's $1700 / year for the family (or $800/adult).
ReplyDeleteWe're going to Panorama Resort in 2 weeks to a timeshare in Radium and plan to do some skiing.
