Backyard Campground

We decided we were really missing out on camping as it has been 2 summers since we had been tenting. We had to change this so we got all the camping gear out of storage and set the tent up in the backyard.
Here is our fence that we finally fixed to give the dogs the back yard to run free in.
The kids were excited to get their spots all set up before nightfall

As evening came it was time to light up the fire pit and boy with the old wood paneling we had we were sure able to build a great bonfire.

It was very warm out but Blake still needed his soft blanket to cuddle up with.

Kohl was happy to just go with the flow for a change

Breigh wasn't too sure about the fire so she was looking for some comfort from Jay

It was getting later in the evening and we forgot one very important thing Supper, we decided to make a run out for some takeout

Now it was time to get into the evenings activities, Trin and Blake were hanging out by the fire...

...Kohl and Jay were going for a night swim

The water was fantastic and very warm

Blake was waiting for marshmellos to roast over the fire

Trin couldn't take it anylonger and decided to join in on the pool fun

Now it was time to warm up by the fire

One of the advantages of Smith Campground is the accessible features like convienient lighting so we could play a few rounds of Skip-bo

Blake couldn't handle anymore fun he was ready to take a nap.

Warming up around the fire

Getting comfy...

...and warming toes!

Carrie was having a good time poking the fire and keeping things going.

It was time to head off to bed, all tucked in and cozy.

Saturday Morning (August 7th)
It was a beautiful morning at the backyard campground so we were up and in the pool as soon as it was opened up.

Even Breigh and Riley made a trip into the pool to cool off

A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That....
