All in a Days Work

After waiting for over a month for the Home Depot to replace our front door we decided to take matters into our own hands, we figured we did all sorts of inside doors so an exterior door can't be much harder. Oh and we can do both exterior and one storm door for about $600 less then the price of one door installed by Home Depot. I made the trip to the Home Depot to get the parts and door to do the project on Saturday while Carrie was doing the Dance Run



Sunday Morning and the Sun was shining, we got up and got started, it took a little while to get the old door out, I sure could use a recipracating saw...hint...hint



Of course Breigh found something to chew, no surprise there, this is her bone she found in the yard a while back and chews on it every once in a while and then buries it again.



Now the kids were told to go in and out the other door but when Carrie and I were deciding the next step and were standing there, Kohl decided to bull moose through us...too bad for him I had my hammer in my hand and he walked straight into it...lucky for him he is not 1" shorter as he would have got it right in the eye. He was impressed.




Blake found a "Cabin" in the hedge out front, he will make a cabin out of anything, a chip off the old block, I always made cabin in the house or barn as a kid.




The boys made some time out front for some "B"Ball, look quick they were actually getting along pretty good.



Trinity managed to get herself out of hibernation long enough to see what was going on, I don't think she was overly impressed with our project.



Carrie made a great BBQ so we took a bit of a break from working to enjoy, apparently chewing on sticks is enough to tire the princess out so she took a nap on Blake's cabin equipment.



All in all the project was done just in time for Carrie to go to work, what a great Birthday gift for me to be able to put in a new door. We enjoyed it so much that Carrie will get her door and storm door for Mothers Day.
