WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!
This morning when I went outside to check out the finished door, I quickly realized how warm it was out. It was a long day and night yesterday and it took me forever to fall asleep last night so needless to say I was a bit on the tired side this morning. Blake was watching TV and playing on my laptop this morning so I took a half hour to rest, well that didn't work out to great as I was excited to get Blake ready and head out for a walk. We have been waiting all winter to finally be able to walk down to meet Matt at lunch. It was great and Blake just loved his buggy (stroller) ride. There is nothing better than walking along the water with a slight breeze blowing and the smell of the beach, it felt like I was on summer vacation on the beach! Blake loves looking at the water and watching the ferries go by. Today we were a bit early and he got to watch the cars load onto the ferry and he thought that was pretty cool!
We finally me Matt for lunch and we took Blake to McDonalds then home we came (Matt drove us). I spent 30 minutes or so on the trampoline with Blake ( I was exhausted) then we walked up to pick the kids up at school.
Well I guess that is all the news for today......I just have to make a phone call for Jay as he was invited to go away with the church youth group in a couple of weekends to P.E.I. He is excited but I still have to get all the details. I worry when the kids travel with anyone other than us but I have to let him go if he really wants to go. It will be good for him and I'm sure he will have FUN!
Here's Blake playing peek a boo behind the old apple tree

Kohl waiting patiently for his turn on the trampoline

Trin getting some leg exercise for the dancer legs

...and finally Blake taking after Breigh and digging holes in the dirt!

BUSTED....
( and not proud of it just for the record)
Here in Nova Scotia we have a new law that was passed a while back that we are no longer allowed to talk on a cell phone while driving. That is no big deal for us as we don't really use our cell phone unless it's an emergency. Now I do have to be honest here....I totally agree with this law!

Well, yesterday afternoon on my way to work, I was just getting ready to pull into the parking lot when Jay decided to call me on my cell phone trying to play the one parent against the other act. I don't answer the phone while driving but with Matt home finishing up the door renovation project and still working with tools and having 4 kids running around, I panicked thinking that something had happened. Fortunately that wasn't the case and just as I was getting ready to put my phone away I saw the flashing lights.....Yep I got pulled over in the parking lot at work. My fault I was stupid enough to have answered the phone.
The cop was great and let me go with a warning and Jay now knows not to call me on the phone (especially when his father is home) unless it is an emergency, and I have learned not answer the phone until I pull off the road.
Now for me a ticket for $164.00 would have been better for me ....as I could have just paid the fine and been over with....rather than the guilt I will carry for God knows how long. Got to love a guilty conscious.....The cop laughed at me when I told him that!
