2009 ended with a great New Year's Eve Celebration and now here we are the start of a New Year! I must say we started the off perfect being home visiting with family. New Years Day we went to Swiss Chalet in Moncton for lunch with Gramma and Grampa then we took them to see Avatar in 3D at the movie theatre. It was a great movie and from what I was hearing everyone enjoyed the show. Aunt Birdie met us at the theatre then we went back to her house for a visit and supper before heading back to Amherst. The kids were exhausted but they had lots of fun!!!

The boys had a great time on the snow drift in the back. They dug holes for their snow fort

Jay had quite the tunnel dug

Then in came the dogs

HEADING HOME
Breigh stayed curled up in the back with Jay the whole drive home. I think she was exhausted from our visit. She isn't use to all the late nights.

Riley on the other hand was a pain in the butt driving home. Finally with the roads being bad I had enough with his distractions that I turned around and gave him a good yelling at. Well that did the trick and he curled right up on his blanket and went to sleep. It was peaceful after that.
Does he look like trouble in this picture?
Silence!

Are we there yet?
HOME AT LAST!

We got home and headed right to the grocery store to get some lunch food for the kids for school. We got home and had the kids settled in and starting unpacking the van. I got a fantastic idea at 6:30pm to head to Walmart to pick up Jay's new desk for his room. We had 20 minutes before the layaway department closed. Great news, we got there in time and the desk was put together in time for Jay to go to bed at a reasonable time. The desk looks great in his room! Thank you Matt for getting this done for Jay.... and me too!
We have had a great start to the new year and have many plans ahead for us and our family. A lot of really important decision still have to be made in the next few months but I am sure that things will all work out for the best in the end. So here we are back to our normal routine of things around here. Trinity started back to dancing on Tuesday, Jay had a basketball game on Monday, work has been pretty busy for me at the call center. Matt is getting the store cleaned up from Christmas shopping and was informed that he has 9 weeks of vacation to take this year that he is looking forward to taking.
Well I guess that is it for now,
Hope everyone has a great and Happy New year!

  1. I like the bug lamp, Blake.
And is your desk new, too, or is it a second-hand Jay's desk?
